TASKS RELATED TO COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Design, development and implementation of the Communication, Visibility and Dissemination plan for larger project grants
  • Management of social media platforms
  • Development of an online toolkit on how to work with interfaith and intercultural dialogue
  • Coordinate on communication and visibility with local partners and plan and perform training of partners, staff and volunteers
  • Design and production of visibility items
  • In charge of taking photos, videos, producing visibility materials and contact to media in relation to public events.
  • Proactive in pitching ideas to the Danmission Department for Communication at the HQ with stories etc. relating to Danmissions engagement in MENA region
  • Write and edit articles, press releases etc. in English and in Arabic
  • Contribute to the overall reporting on communication activities related to Danmissions active programs
     

TASKS RELATED TO PUBLIC RELATIONS:

  • Assisting in the planning and coordination of visits etc. from Denmark
  • Establishing and maintaining external media relations, both locally and regionally
  • Cultivate contact to local stakeholders, partners and donors
  • Representing Danmission and promoting Danmission’s work and values
     

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES: 

  • Experience with strategic planning and development of various communication and visibility products
  • Able to plan, design and produce creative social media content including short videos
  • Have a proven record of generating press coverage and has a strong network among journalists in MENA region and globally
  • Experience with photography and video editing
  • Have experience and are passionate about promoting interfaith dialogue, peacebuilding efforts, human rights or similar
  • Solid experience with coordination of study trips, setting up meetings, follow up on inquiries etc.
  • Fluency in English and in Arabic

Danmission has been present in the MENA region for more than 100 years. Currently, Danmission is supporting projects in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt and Jordan. Danmission is an independent Danish NGO connected to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark.
