About the job 

The Program Support Officer (Protection Case Management Capacity Building) has the overall responsibility to build the technical capacity of community based organizations as well as the internal training of DRC staff on child protection case management.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be: 

• Support the management of partnerships and provide technical capacity building in line with DRC's Partnership and Capacity Building approaches. 

• In accordance with the capacity building plan, provide on the job coaching and mentoring to CBOs and SDCs’ staff on child protection case management, and on other prevention and response activities. 

• Support partners to set up a child protection case management program in line with the National CPCM SOPs and DRC's case management SOPs. 

• Supervise CP caseworkers of DRC and provide technical supervision for the CP case workers of the CBOs in coordination with the relevant officer of the CBO. 

• Provide age and gender appropriate technical guidance to CP caseworkers on case management and psychosocial support to girls and boys in need of case management including on child labor, neglect and abuse 

• Support and ensure the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program. 

• Monthly monitor of the efficient and accurate updating of the CP case management database. Compile the data and complete the data analysis of case management. In addition to managing the CPIMS internally to DRC and supporting partners to roll-it out. 

• Act as inter-agency focal point of the CP case management hubs, receive and respond to case management referrals in a timely manner whilst prioritizing cases according to risk level.​

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor in law, Social work, Psychology, women’s studies, gender studies, counseling, or another related field or Master degree in gender studies, social work and/or psychology. Moreover, we also expect the following:​

Required

• At least 3 years of experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings, specifically in Child Protection case management, PSS and/or CP-GBV sectors 

• Experience in Case management in general and CP case management in particular 

• Experience in providing on the job coaching and mentoring and building capacity of staff and in working in capacity building and partnerships. 

• Trained on the national case management SoP and excellent knowledge of its tools. 

• Experience in conducting training needs analysis/assessments and developing training programs for a broad range of audiences from different institutional levels 

• Good knowledge of psychosocial support basic principles and PSS key messages to vulnerable children and caregivers. 

• Excellent knowledge of child and adult development and learning, basic facilitation skills, safe identification and referral principles and Child Protection minimum standards. 

• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point). 

• Fluency in Arabic is a must and ability to communicate and write clearly in English is a must​

We offer 

  • Contract length: until 30 June 2019 
  • Level:  C1 
  • Monthly Basic Salary: 1650 USD 
  • Duty Station: Area, Tripoli and Akkar 
  • Start date: January 2019​
