Livelihoods Specialist (DRC Syria)
About the job
Livelihoods with focus on resilience and early recovery interventions such as:
Vocational training and complementary trainings, internships, micro-grants/asset replacements, capacity-building in inclusive livelihoods.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Establish a Master budget for the livelihoods grants only,
- Identify gaps and assess realistic targets and staffing;
- Document the lessons learned for each type of intervention based on the 2017-2018 scale up;
- Establish SOPs for each type of intervention;
- Establish and/or finalize existing SOPs for Internships and per type of host;
- Look at documentation from a compliance aspect to ensure it meets donor and internal requirements;
- Look at existing assessment, data collection, and monitoring tools and simplify;
- Train staff on SOPs and tools for each activity area; pilot the tools and adjust as needed if time allows.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect the following:
Required
- BA/BSc in a relevant area Project Management, International Cooperation, or Humanitarian Aid
- Minimum three years of Livelihood programming experience
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in Middle-East
- More than five years of professional experience with an INGO in project cycle management
- Experience in complex emergencies
- Proficiency of the English language
- Demonstrated training and facilitation experience;
Desirable
- Master degree in International Development / Community Development (desirable)
- Minimum three years of Livelihood programming experience with focus on Vocational Training, Internships & Micro Grants
- Minimum two years of recent experience in the Middle-East, working on the Syrian Crisis
- Good command of the Arabic language

We offer
Contract length: three months non - renewable contract
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Expatriate Staff.
