JOB DESCRIPTION:

CISP is active in South Lebanon implementing projects funded by different Donors and targeting both Syrian Refugees and hosting communities in the Governorates of South Lebanon and Nabatiyeh.

Sectors of activity: Shelter, WASH (including infrastructures for water), Basic Assistance (Core Relief Items) and others.

CISP is opening a selection for Information Management (IM) Officers to be in charge of data collection from the different sectors of the project, organization of the information, and to support the elaboration of monitoring plans of the activities and follow up of achievements vs planned targets.

The candidates will be evaluated according to CISP evaluation grid and will be ranked according to scoring assigned during the process.

Under the coordination and monitoring of the Project Coordinator(s) competent for the different projects, the IM Officer will be responsible for:

  • Regular collection and update of the information systems in use (mainly ActivityInfo and RAIS) and filing information on internal database;
  • Verification of information available on the above mentioned systems to support selection of beneficiaries of the different activities;
  • Support the management providing information to be inserted in reports;
  • Extracting information from the above mentioned systems to support assessments of beneficiaries;
  • Preparation of “ad hoc” tables filtering information available for set criteria;
  • Attending trainings on the different tools and active participation to IM working group meetings, sharing information with the management and concerned staff eventually training them;
  • Reporting to the Area Manager and Project Coordinator(s).

Furthermore, the IM Officer will support to projects with:

  • Management of mass communication (SMS systems) preparing and sending personalized SMS to beneficiaries, alerts to CISP Staff when the case, etc.;
  • Compilation of lists of distributions or personalized receipts for beneficiaries target of the different activities;
  • Support elaboration of recurrent documents related to projects activities;
  • Training staff on efficient management of Office Software package.

Confidentiality: the position gives access to personal information of beneficiaries that must be treated carefully and that cannot be shared with subjects with whom CISP did not sign a Data Sharing Agreement;

 

THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

  • University Degree in discipline related with Data Management;
  • At least two years of experience in similar position;
  • Very good capacity to manage database information;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office package, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.) and Word (mailing options) but not limited to them;
  • Good computer skills;
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic both oral and written;
  • Knowledge of the online information systems (ActivityInfo and RAIS);
  • Good capacity in organizing information efficiently and synthetically;
  • Very good capacity of analysis of processes;
  • Very good communication skills;
  • Willingness and ability to be flexible
  • Be rigorous, precise, calm and polite
  • Excellent inter personnel skills and team spirit: the position requires to interact with staff specialized in different sectors and being supportive in finding viable solutions to the management of the information;
  • Valid driving license.

Desirable:

  • Work experience with international NGOs
  • Knowledge and experience in IT.
