The RELIEF Centre (www.relief-centre.org), a collaboration between University College London, American University of Beirut, and Centre for Lebanese Studies at the Lebanese American University, is looking to recruit a community engagement designer to create, plan, and design the graphics related to a project in Ras Beirut. The said person would work closely with the team in Lebanon to come up with a plan to engage the community within Ras Beirut to be part of a research and intervention RELIEF will undergo starting January 2019, and to design the necessary graphics accordingly.
Tasks:
-Create, design, and lead public communication campaign (plan and design) for Ras Beirut.
-Promoting content with Ras Beirut community and key contacts.
Skills and Requirements:
-Excellent graphic design skills to create pamphlets, social media posts and other outputs.
-Excellent Communication both with stakeholders and with people on the ground.
-Comfortable working on graphic material in Arabic and English.
-Creative writing and/or outreach experience, within content marketing or PR.
-Ability to write well for a range of sectors and audiences.
-Flexible, organized, comfortable with a dynamic, fast-paced environment and communicating at all levels.
-Excellent Arabic and English.
-Knowledgeable of the Ras Beirut culture, context, and dynamics.
-Ability to multitask.
