OBJECTIVE
The Education Assistant - teacher is responsible for supporting the education team in the overall implementation of the education project in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
S/he will assist in providing Non-formal education programs to out of school children and/or youth.
The candidate will closely work with refugee communities to ensure community mobilization and engagement throughout the implementation of the activities
DUTIES
- Participates in the planning and implementation of the non-formal education activities including: outreach, community mobilization, awareness session, training, basic literacy and numeracy
- Identifies out of school children and ensures their enrolment in the program
- Handles work-related data entry and input
- Ensures proper monitoring of the implementation process of the project
- Supports the capacity building and learning process of the community groups
- Refers specific cases to different services whenever required
- Any other tasks required in the framework of the education program and activities

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- 1 to 2 years of working experience in teaching preferably Arabic, English and Mathematics
- Experience working with refugees and other vulnerable groups
- Experience in community mobilization
