OBJECTIVE:

The Communication Officer is responsible for conveying information to internal and external audiences by preparing and producing messages and publications

DUTIES:

  • Update social media and website content
  • Edit, prepare and send out written communication internally and externally
  • Monitor media landscape and breaking news stories related to program activities
  • Support in preparing press releases and responses to media enquiries
  • Support in events organization
  • Assist in preparing communications material for the organization such as brochure, poster, documentary, etc.
  • Partake in all caritas activities/events and be in charge of the photography
  • Support in administrative tasks
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

SKILLS:

Business Skills

  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent communication, networking, and inter-personal skills
  • Innovative and creative thinking in relation to communication
  • Basic photography knowledge
  • Proven fluency in writing and editing skills in English, French and Arabic

 

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office-All applications
  • Knowledge in Adobe applications (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is a plus

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years of relevant communications related work experience
