General Operational Responsibilities:

● Establish and maintain a monthly and weekly work plan with project team and communicate the targets, project objectives and activity plans clearly to the team
● Provide supervision to ensure that each team has its own weekly work plan established and follows regular case management schedule
● Participate in the selection of the Trainees and Community Facilitators in coordination with the HR assistant, Centre Manager, and Protection Technical Manager
● Plan outreach strategy with the Community Facilitators, and following up with Outreach Officer, and assist the Community Facilitators in the identification and selection of the participants and priority cases as per the criteria
● Schedule time and rooms for information sessions, accompaniment, referrals and case management, in close coordination with the Centre Manager
● Conduct regular performance review of the Community Facilitators, and provide necessary technical and managerial support as required
● Ensure that all the training sessions are scheduled based on clear schedule and suitable timing in coordination with the Center Manager and Protection Technical Manager
● Ensure that all the targets and number of beneficiaries are met in coordination with the center manager
● Ensure that all the individual cases handled and group sessions are well documented, complying with confidentiality and protection standards
● Provide a monthly report to the center manager
● Take the lead in drafting the reports submitted to the donor
● Participate in the regular coordination meetings with the other projects staff in the Nabaa centre
● Coordinate with the Communications department to document activities and events and collect the consent forms as required Technical Responsibilities:
● Provide assistance and inputs to review the selection criteria of legal trainees as well as of the participants, and to contextualize the curriculum and information brochures
● Provide technical support in the planning of the training curriculum and facilitation of the training for the legal trainees, as well as in the development of the legal sessions’ materials
● Provide technical support and inputs for the development of the legal data and information management system, and support and train the team in using the data system to record and organize the data on weekly basis
● Organise weekly case conferences with the Community Facilitators to provide regular supervision to handle individual cases
● Assess the performance and capacity building needs of the Community Facilitators from the technical perspective
● Ensure that the individual cases are recorded and organized via the data management system, and assist the Technical Protection Manager in data collection and analysis for the purpose of identifying the protection trends and needs

Monitoring and Evaluation Responsibilities:

● Ensure that all data related to the project (attendance sheets, registration sheets, follow up on drop out sheet) are documented, available and organized upon the request of the Center Manager and M&E team
● Coordinate closely with the M&E team for the reporting purposes when required Financial, Logistical and HR Responsibilities
● Create and update up to date procurement plans and ensure all the materials are ordered and delivered to the staff in a timely manner
● Ensure that all of the tasks related to the HR, Finance, and logistics are in line with B&Z policies and procedures
● Follow up upon staff leaves in collaboration with the human resources department

 

Essential Skills, Background and Experience Required:

- Work experience: previous working experience in handling cases concerning civil and legal documentation and/or private laws, and/or in providing legal aid to refugees and migrants
- Practicing lawyer licence registered with the Bar Association desired
- Experience in management and field staff oversight desired
- Sensitivity to trauma and psychosocial needs, as well as socio-cultural values of clients
- Strong inter-personal communication skills, team work spirit and leadership skills
- Adequate speaking, reporting and writing skills in English and Arabic
- Understanding of humanitarian and protection standards and/or refugee assistance is an asset
- Previous experience in project management is an asset
