General responsibilities:

 

Assess the needs of the targeted beneficiaries and ensure engagement of the beneficiaries in the design of and support the team in the implementation of the activities

Provide individual counselling services in line with the IASC MHPSS minimum standards to ensure the psychological, social and physical well-being of persons with specific needs (both refugees and host communities) such as child protection (CP) and sexual and gender based violence (SGBV)

Support the project activities implementation by following up thoroughly and effectively on referrals made internally by the case manager, social workers, as well as other departments’ staff

Ensure effective and timely internal referral to the case manager, and work closely with her, when the identified needs of cases require external and specialized services

Support and ensure effective information sharing across departments in order to provide holistic services to persons in need at the center

Conduct Focused PSS activities and facilitate and encourage the participation of children, parents and caregivers, notably the most vulnerable community members, based on their specific psychological, emotional and physical needs, in order to ensure participants are better equipped to protect themselves

Ensure quality and minimum child protection standards are implemented and respected in all activities, including the child safeguarding policy;

 

Provide technical support to social workers to ensure that the PSS sessions and awareness sessions are culturally appropriate, follow structured and age-appropriate curriculum, and are in line with the B&Z protection objectives

Participate in community based network and coordination meetings, as well as relevant capacity building training and monthly staff care and team meetings

Provide staff care for B&Z employees when needed through sessions that help prevent staff burnout

Submit monthly reports concerning implemented outreach activities, case observation and trends, referrals, focal points meetings and related challenges and achievements.

Ensure and sustain positive relationship with the beneficiaries.

Attend and active participation in the meetings in the community working groups as needed

 

 

Responsibilities with the project coordinator:

●       Apply the work plan in order to meet the objectives, targets and timeline of the project through coordinating with operation teams;

●       Ensure that all the targets and number of beneficiaries are met in coordination with the project coordinator

●       Submit a biweekly report including achievements, success stories, challenges, and lessons learned

●       Any other related tasks as per request of the project coordinator in terms of operations, or the technical manager in terms of technicalities.

 

Responsibilities with the Monitoring and Evaluation team:

●       Ensure that all data related to the project is documented, available and organized upon the request of the program or M&E team.

●       Ensure that case agenda is documented on daily bases.

●       Ensure confidential documentation of each case through adequate data collection and management

 

Abilities and skills:

●  Able to work with different nationalities & refugees (women, men & children)

●  Able to work within groups

●  Able to express emotions verbally and physically

●  Experience in humanitarian and social work (Scouts experience, Youth clubs experience, Stress Management skills)

●  Computer skills (MS- Office, Internet...)

●  Reporting skills

●  Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills especially with children

●Strong experience in providing recreational activities & interactive facilitation
