  • Correctly apply and monitor the child protection standards, code of conduct in the community centers and the community of concern with specific focus on the education activities;
  • Facilitate training sessions and ongoing mentoring and capacity building support for field teams (including center staff, teacher and volunteers) in relevant CP and PSS skills, approaches and behaviors;
  • Coordinate all the PSS activities implemented in the project’s gateways for children; facilitate training session, follow up and monitoring of the animators’ team on how to design and conduct structural recreational activities and focused center based PSS activities;
  • Conduct session for bus drivers on how to safely deal with vulnerable children whilst transporting them home-center-home, do follow up and monitoring of this ongoing activity;
  • Regularly visit the community centers (once every two weeks each) to monitor staff’s performance in terms of applying CP and PSS skills and approaches and to do regular observation of children and classes;
  • Monitor the implementation of the activities done with caregivers aiming at increasing their CP knowledge and practices with their children;
  • Provide regular field & program team written reports including key recommendations for improvements in terms on integrating CP in Education at field level;
  • Establish and regularly update, monitor and maintain accessible in the centers the CP mapping services and referral system for CP cases (and/or cases with special needs);
  • Upon the request of the case manager, help in the investigation phase of a referred child from project staff for CP concern and/or special needs concern and be part of the human resources who can help in the follow-up of low risks cases.

  • Work with M&E/Data unit to ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems are in place, support staff in all monitoring processes and provide monthly and weekly reports on progress of activities in the centers;
  • Organize monthly meetings with animators, teachers and volunteers to share lessons learned and exchange experiences in terms of CP and PSS activities implementation;
  • Share information on field-level successes and challenges with the team;
  • Regularly coordinate and participate in the meetings with other Child Protection Officers and the CP focal point of the consortium
  • Regularly plan and coordinate with the Education specialists to:
    • Establish and review monthly plan and priorities
  • Weekly exchange feedback on the centers, community and cases’ situation
