جمعية النجدة الإجتماعية هي جمعية نسوية علمانية، تؤمن بأن حقوق الإنسان بشكل عام، وحقوق الإنسان للنساء، هي حقوق شاملة وشمولية لا تقبل التجزأة أو التمييز. ولهذا تعتبر الجمعية أن النضال الديمقراطي من أجل مجتمعات ديمقراطية علمانية حديثة هي شرط ضروري وأساسي لتحقيق المواطنة، الديمقراطية، العدالة الإجتماعية، والمساواة للفئات المهمشة بشكل عام، وبين النساء والرجال بشكل خاص.

جمعية النجدة الإجتماعية هي مؤسسة نسوية علمانية تأسست مع بداية الحرب الأهلية في العام 1976، وسجلت في وزارة الداخلية اللبنانية كجمعية أهلية مستقلة غير حكومية في العام 1978 تحت علم وخبر 0169\أد. منذ تأسيسها، استهدفت الجمعية النساء، خاصة النساء المهمشات، من أجل الدفاع عن حقوقهن وتمكينهن على المستويات: الإقتصادية، الإجتماعية، المعرفية، القانونية والحقوقية.

تؤمن جمعية النجدة الإجتماعية بأن حقوق الإنسان بشكل عام، وحقوق الإنسان للنساء، هي حقوق شاملة وشمولية لا تقبل التجزئة أو التمييز.
