Podcast Manager

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Proposals received after the deadline will be automatically rejected.
Final selection will be based of the company or individual’s merit, meeting the minimum requirements, timeline, overall fees. Members of the LGBTQ community are encouraged to apply, especially queer women and trans individuals.
Objectives of the Podcasts
This project is funded by the Dutch Embassy in Lebanon for the purpose of creating a virtual safe space for the LGBTQ community, providing information and support to LGBTQ youth.
The LGBTQ Platform aims to provide LGBTQ youth in Lebanon and in the region with sex-positive information regarding their lives. The podcasts will be designed to be informative and will cover different topics relevant to LGBTQ youth. They will serve as a source for awareness-building and capacity-building, providing important and relevant information in a friendly and positive manner.
LAU’s Arab Institute for Women is currently looking for a company or an individual to manage and create a series of podcasts, as part of its upcoming LGBTQ Youth Platform.
Minimum required qualifications and experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial position
- Interest and knowledge of podcast culture
- Ability to manage a multi-faceted team
- Excellent working knowledge of English and Arabic
- Knowledge of LGBTQ matters is a plus and will be favorably evaluated
- Ability to deliver project on time and within budget
- Experience in the Audio/Visual field
Deliverables:
- 14 podcast episodes (7 in English, 7 in Arabic), 20-40 minutes each, to be recorded in LAU's recording studio.
Responsibilities:
- Along with the Project Manager, the Podcast Manager will be responsible for:
- identifying the topics for each episode
- briefing and following up with the researchers
- contacting and securing hosts for each episode
- contacting and securing guest speakers for each episode
- schedule and attend the recording and editing of each episode
- market and publicize each episode
- engage with listeners on social media platforms
