Application Submissions Guideline: 

The offeror is expected to submit two proposals:

1- A technical proposal in PDF format covering at least the following:

  • Individual or company’s portfolio, reflecting past performance under other projects relevant to this assignment, including ability to produce bilingual identities;
  • Synopsis of relevant work to LGBTQ community, if any
  • An implementation approach to ensure success
  • A detailed timetable with clear milestones to ensure timely delivery not exceeding the maximum allowable time limit;

2- A financial offer in PDF format duly signed, dated and stamped by the service provider, with detailed cost breakdown per deliverable. The proposal must be in a separate document than the technical proposal. The financial offer must be made in US Dollars. All taxes must be presented distinctly and clearly. All financial offers must be valid for at least 90 days post submission to LAU.

Objectives of the Platform

This project is funded by the Dutch Embassy in Lebanon for the purpose of creating a virtual safe space for the LGBTQ community, providing information and support to LGBTQ youth.

The LGBTQ Platform aims to provide LGBTQ youth in Lebanon and in the region with sex-positive information regarding their lives.

LAU’s Arab Institute for Women is currently looking for a service provider to design the identity of an online platform, as part of its upcoming LGBTQ Youth Platform.

The Online Platform will consist of four elements:

  • A podcast
  • A webseries
  • An FAQ section about common matters related to the theme
  • A glossary of definitions related to the theme

 

Eligibility

The service provider may be an individual independent consultant or an established legal entity such as a company.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

The service provider is expected to meet at least the following requirements:

  • At least five years of experience in identity development and logo design;
  • Proven experience in developing bilingual identities;
  • Proven familiarity working on Identity Design for the LGBTQ community;
  • Ability to deliver project on time and within budget
  • Understanding of local LGBTQ aesthetics

 

Deliverables:

  • Bilingual (Arabic/Latin) logo (at least 4 directions)
  • Typographic direction
  • Color palette
  • Branding material
  • Social media templates
  • Brand guidelines

The service provider should account for 3 rounds of feedback.

Questions about the proposals must be sent to [email protected] before March 1. Answers will be sent to all interested parties by March 3 at the latest.

Proposals must be made in English with the title “Identity Designer” in the subject.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Proposals received after the deadline will be automatically rejected.

Final selection will be based on the company or individual’s merit, meeting the minimum requirements, timeline, overall fees and familiarity with LGBTQ issues.
