Trainer on gender and media

AFE is organizing a training for journalists on gender-balanced reporting and is seeking an experienced trainer to deliver the 10-day regional online training for journalists. Journalists from every country (Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco) will attend 2 days of training for 3 hours each.

Specific Objectives:

The scope of work for the trainer will include:

• Prepare training (of 6 hours for every country) on gender-balanced reporting and adapt it to every country. Training will be delivered online to 5 countries in the MENA region. 
• Prepare pre and post evaluations based on AFE requirements.
• Deliver online training of a total of 30 hours (3 hours every day / 10 days).
• Present an end-of-training report based on discussions during training sessions and pre and post evaluations.

   

Expertise and skills

A large experience in working with journalists and media organizations.

A deep knowledge of gender rights and gender terminology including LGBTIQ+ and key populations.

At least 2 years of experience in delivering similar training.
