Protection Technical Field Supervisor
Support the Protection team in the implementation of emergency response activities and activities to support the Protection Response Plans in regards to constructions/ wash activities and site improvement
Support in Supervising, monitoring and reporting about the projects in Bekaa and to provide leadership to the field team.
Ensure the quality and control of hard activities related to Protection responce plan in the projects, that they are to required specification and standards and meet the needs of the community
Support in Dealing with the local authorities, international and local NGO, and donors, in keeping a good relationship and a constant and positive exchange of information about the AAH projects.
POSITION GENERAL OBJECTIVE
- Supervise and monitor the activity implemented in Bekaa, providing support to the field team in terms of coordination and support.

- Support in monitoring for the protection response plan activities related to constructions or any kind of engineering issues
POSITION SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES AND TASKS
Objective 1 : To ensure timely and quality implementation of Protection activities (50 %)
Support the Project Manager and Deputy Program Manager and field team in planning and implementing all Community Protection Approach ( CPA) process to meet project deliverables based on timeline and scope agreed with the donor;
Assist in filing and record keeping of CPA related activities;
Participate in and supervise the collection of quantitative and qualitative data using AAH Protection Platform or any other relevant tools to ensure the accurate and timely submission of the gathered data
Conduct regular field visits to follow up and provide monitoring as needed into the field for the protection response plans hard component activities
Ensure that SoPs and guidelines for formats and tools during all CPA process are put in place by the field staff
Provision of feedback to community protection specialist on SoPs and guidelines related to CPA data protection mechanism and quality of data collected
Coordinate with the field team, the municipality focal point and the Project Manager
Support the development and maintenance of external relations particularly with beneficiaries, municipality staff, donors and other NGOs.
Coordinate with Program Manager and technical advisor for providing data for reporting and filling incident reports
Objective 2 : Team management (30 %)
Supervise the staff under his/her supervision to ensure they are working effectively and to the best of their capacity
Participate in staff training, helping to build technical capacity of staff.
Mentor and coach colleagues and team members, building their capacity to obtain high quality results and impacts.
Support the relations with other AAH staff in the base, the support staff and M&E staff from Zahle Base and Beirut Country Office
Help to develop and execute context-specific solutions to improve collaboration, coordination and performance of the AAH staff.
Objective 3 : Reporting (20 %)
Report the progress of the work to the PM and contributes to the reports and other ad hoc reports to meet donor and internal requirements;
Report possible problem or conflict during the activities.
Report the use of materials and possible improvement.
Data collection regarding the project and the potentials beneficiaries, and proper archiving.
Objective 4 : Security
Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, see to it that the team under his/her responsibility complies with the security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols.
Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan
Objective 5 : Support humanitarian activities of Action Against Hunger
Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the employee’s abilities.
Support any activity that helps reaching our humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s abilities.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Training/ Education: A bachelor's degree in Basic Assistance, Social Fields, engineering or any other related fields.
Technical specific knowledge: Technical capacity in engineering (FSL, Wash, Shelter), Team leadership, reporting capacity, organised and rigorous, availability/learning capacity
Ability to prioritise a large workload for self and the team.
Previous knowledge on protection would be a plus.
Previous experience: Three years’ experience working in a related field of expertise.
Experience in the humanitarian sector in a similar position.
Previous experience in team management.
Personal requirements: Ability to work in a team, interpersonal qualities and diplomacy, flexible with respect to job priority
Agrees with the principles and objectives of ACF
Languages: Fluent Arabic, Fluency in written and spoken English
IT and specific systems: Windows domain, Compulsory expertise in Excel.
Mobility (national/ international): Based in Zahle with frequent travels to Arsaal and frequent presence in the field

Salary: from 1497 USD to 1772 USD gross per month according to candidate’s previous experience (according to standard list of Action Against Hunger - Spain). Action Against Hunger - Spain remuneration system allows a salary progression based on the annual development appraisal.

LBP 8,000 daily transportation allowance on working days
