Finance Assistant ( Lebanese Nationals Only)

Assignment
Under the supervision of the Country Finance Manager the finance Assistant will assist the finance team in order to reach accountability and reporting requirements of the organisation, together with delivering detailed data analysis to help management’s decision-making.
Background
ACTED is an International Non-Governmental Organization registered in France with global operations in Central and South Asia, Europe, Middle-East and Africa. ACTED has been active in Lebanon since 2006 operating mainly in the North and Beirut and Mount Lebanon governorates of Lebanon. ACTED has been implementing WASH and Shelter and waste management community projects across Lebanon.
Functions
The Finance assistant shall be responsible for:
1-On a Daily Basis: Procurement - review of selection documents and contracts Upon daily allocation of tasks decided by CFM, support other team members
Prepare the VAT Report in collaboration with the Finance Intern.
Preparation of the Due Dilligence with FLAT Provide capacity building training when we start working with a new partner and ongoing support during the lifetime of the project - in collaboration with audit department
Follow up on expenses level of IPs Preparation of donor installment requests
Support the team as requested on accounting closure
2-On a Monthly Basis:
Communicate exchange rates of the month to Implementing Partners
Complete the PRATIC Update the ATROCE and review the installment deadlines. F
ollow up on donors Installment and discuss it with the CFM.
Develop an action plan on pending installments.
Prepare the Running Cost Follow up.
Highlight any significant variation in the month to CFM Prepare and send the BFUs to each Program Manager in collaboration with the Finance Intern. Review IP expenses and make sure they are uploaded in SAGA on a monthly basis.
Knowledge, skills
Financial background, understanding of accounting mechanisms
Good excel skills are necessary for analysis and reporting Good relationship with people, finance is a central department in the organization and being involved with multiple people is required, plus external relation with other NGOs and potentially donors might be required.
