Act for the Disappeared is seeking to hire a human resources and
financial officer.
Act for the Disappeared is a local non-profit, non-partisan
Lebanese human rights organization based in Beirut. Act aims to
clarify the fate of the thousands of forcibly disappeared and missing persons
in Lebanon and contribute to a reunifying national reconciliation process,
based on establishing facts and restoring the dignity of victims. ACT
seeks to empower the relatives of the victims, engage the Lebanese society
in supporting this cause, lobby the authorities to create a sustainable
solution and increase the youth's understanding of the consequences of
violence to prevent repetition.
The administrative and financial officer will report
directly to the Project coordinator of Act for the Disappeared. The administrative
and financial officer main duties include, but are not restricted to:
About the job:
Your main duties and responsibilities will
be:
Administration
- Keep soft records of all Admin contract,
such as agreements and MoU, employment contract and employee HR files and have
the relevant documents/papers filled
- Prepare order requests for all office needs
(stationary, cartridges furniture, etc...), followed by payment requests
- Act as focal point for meeting/workshop
rooms bookings and support the project manager in logistical issues
- Ensuring data of newly recruited staff is
properly recorded on both the staff list and HR Master file; Personnel
information such as marital status, position, salary, leaves. And Follow up
with HR Beirut on staff social registration, staff medical insurance, and
IDs
- Track staff leaves, time sheets and pay slip.
Finance
- Maintain a timely and proper organization of
the accounting supporting documents and filing according to donor requirements
and Maintain proper filing of all financial documents
- Complete cashbooks and scan related
documents
- Familiar with cross tables
- Familiar with working on provisional budget
- Assist in the preparation of financial
report
- Support in fundraising
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to
have University degree in either Admin, Accounting, Business, finance or
related area; Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- Ability to work
with Microsoft programs (Excel) - Proven ability
to work under pressure and meeting deadlines - Personal
commitment, flexibility, efficiency - Well-developed
organizational and planning skills - Self-motivation
and strong team spirit - Minimum of 1
years' relevant working experience. - English writing
proficiency. - Familiar with cross table and
provisional budget
We offer
- Contract length:
12 months, part time contract (to be extended subject to the
continued availability of funding) - Monthly Basic
Salary USD 700$ including transportation - Duty Station:
Beirut - Start date: January
1, 2019
