Sensitization Training On Gender, Gender Based Violence & Clinical Management Of Rape
ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality in partnership with UNFPA is organizing a sensitization workshop on the Clinical Management of Sexual Assault/Rape (CMR). This training is part of the larger efforts to equip the staff of health, child protection and gender based violence (GBV) sectors on the key messages pertaining to CMR and the referral mechanisms to enhance the access of survivors to quality care.
The training will be conducted in the Bekaa region in Lebanon as per the below dates:
Bekaa, Massabki Hotel, November 16 & 17
The training aims to
Conceptualize the framework of Gender, Gender Based Violence;
Sensitize the staff of the health, child protection and Gender Based Violence (GBV) sectors on the issue of CMR
Provide the participants with key information on when and how survivors should seek services, to reduce the short and long-term health and psychological impact on the survivor
Enhance the knowledge of the existing trained centers and the process of referral, as means to enhance referral mechanisms
The training will be conducted by GBV and CMR experts and will involve a mixed-method approach including seminars and plenary discussions, small group work, role plays, and other creative means to ensure learning. Training will be conducted in Arabic and English.
