Position: Nailcare Trainer
Location: Based in Jabal Mohsen with frequent training sessions to be in Kobbeh, Tebbaneh and Mankoubin to train already registered vulnerable youth.
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Contract Duration: 12 December 2019 – 30 April 2020 with a total of 84 working hours (split into 48 sessions).
Reports to: YHMFU Program Manager – AICA
The Organization:
The Alawite Islamic Charitable Association AICA, a non-profit non-governmental organization located mainly in Jabal Mohsen – Tripoli and Akkar, registered under the decree No. 4500/1950 , was founded in 1950 in order to claim the rights of the Alawite Muslim community through development and social projects as well as Health care and medical services.
AICA projects and activities aim to mitigate all forms of discrimination towards civil Rights access (medical, health, education, work opportunities, or any other additional required support), raise individual and collective awareness, mainstream protection and disseminate risks prevention.
The intervention strategy consists on holistic and sustainable community development, Advocacy and Peace Building, education and training, primary health care and medical services, religious services.
Project Overview:
“Your Health Matters For Us YHMFU“ project is a psychosocial and health support project targeting 900 people from Jabal Mohsen and its surroundings, where action differs according to the targeted group as following:
From 15-25 years old: Through their participation in a short-term vocational course (Nailcare and makeup for girls, maintenance of mobiles for boys) and in life skills sessions that highlight the importance of the mental health of the individual.
Above 40 years old: Through health, psychological and social education sessions on depression, suicide and addiction through a health campaign to be held at the centers of the AICA in Jabal Mohsen.
Project Overall objective:
To improve the access of vulnerable communities from Jabal Mohsen and the surrounding neighborhood of Tripoli to health and mental health services.
Purpose of the assignment:
Improve the psychological and social well-being of beneficiaries between 15 and 25 years old through non- formal skills training as a part of required training and support.
Training Delivery:
-Training guide
-Plan of training sessions taking into consideration that each session will last for 2 hours
- Delivery of 4 sessions per group where each group is constituted from 10 male youth aged between 15 to 25 years (fitted in vulnerability criteria)
-Training report
-ME tools related to the training (relative to each group)

Required responsibilities and tasks:
The trainer will coordinate closely with the Program Manager with the manuals revisions, brainstorming, observation and monitoring, and for best practices approach over the course. He/She will collaborate with the team project all-over the process. He will adhere to AICA values and Code of Conduct.
