COMMUNICATION AND SOCIAL MEDIA FIELD CONSULTANT

The Communication and Social Media Field consultant is responsible for managing Caritas Baladi Program Social Media platforms and handling various activities such as Communications, PR, events and content creation.

The consultant is expected to cover, follow up on and prepare for events, high quality photos, press releases, basic designs and social media posts for Caritas Baladi projects in distant rural areas of Lebanon.

 

    1. DUTIES (Duties are tasks related to achieving the work requirements by this position)
  • Set up and optimize Caritas Baladi Program online pages within each platform in order to increase the visibility and awareness of Baladi Program activities and services
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily/frequent content such as engaging text, images or videos that builds meaningful connections and attracts community members
  • Create and update editorial schedules and calendars in order to edit the platforms content at the optimal time
  • Work closely with other departments on defining the most important social media KPIs and coordinating actions
  • Keep up-to-date with social media and digital technology trends and best practices
  • Set and implement social media and communication campaigns while respecting Caritas and USAID marketing strategies and guidelines
  • Evaluate and measure the success and performance of every social media campaign
  • Engage with online community and respond to comments and requests in a timely manner
  • Monitor, track and report on feedback and online reviews
  • The consultant is expected to travel to the field on a regular basis.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication Skills (Fluent in Arabic and English languages)

  • Community management and creativity

 

 

      1. Computer Skills
  • Must be adept in the use of MS Office applications
  • Basic Knowledge in Photoshop is a plus

 

    1. ACADEMIC EDUCATION
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration/Marketing or Graphic Design
  • Certificate/Diploma in Social Media Management is a plus

 

    1. EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in managing several social media platforms and accounts
  • Previous experience in planning and leading community initiatives
