First Aid Health and Safety consultant

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a First Aid trainer to train the basic skills of reaction, response, call for help and attention to minor injuries.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The consultant will work on a series of projects under Baladi Program.

 The consultant will be responsible for the following:

• Deliver First Aid training to projects staff, stakeholders and community members.
• Provide all necessary first aid information, or ensure that it is provided, in a format that is accessible, engaging and effective.
• Maintain and develop professional knowledge, skills and training techniques relevant to the role and pertaining to their allocated area of delivery in accordance with approved professional practice.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements whilst conducting training, working with electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Providing training material, directions and recommendations.

JOB TERMS

Short-term Technical Consultant basis (8 hours/day)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Qualified with First Response Emergency Care and Saftey.
• Significant and recent experience of Emergency Life Support /First Aid training delivery and a proven ability to impart knowledge and give constructive feedback effectively and persuasively.

• Substantive continuing professional and personal development, building and maintaining the requisite competence, knowledge and skills necessary to perform this critical role to an exacting standard.
• At least 5 years of similar experience in relevant field is desirable.
• Prior similar responsibility under Donor programs is desirable.
• Have previous experience in Lebanon and previous similar responsibilities in implementing similar context projects and activities.

• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate, multi-task, meet deadlines and work with attention to detail
• Ability to successfully initiate and maintain positive relationships with communities and NGOs
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in team environment
• Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic; French is a plus
• Excellent reporting, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good computer applications skills.
