OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Under the supervision of the Project Manager – Inclusion Livelihood, the Project Officer is responsible for implementing project activities and for mobilizing partners and/or other project stakeholders along implementation.
Location: Position based in Beirut with movement to the field in Bekaa and North Lebanon governorate.
Responsibilities
Responsibility 1: Contribute to the project planning and monitoring
Aim: Activities implemented within the timeframe; Quality of activities implemneted;
Activities:
- Participate to the planning process under the supervision of the PM and to its regular review.
- Produce monthly work plan based on project planning and report’s achievements.
- Collect data for documenting indicators under supervision of the PM and with the guidance of the MEAL TA.
- Participate to the project monitoring (mid-term review, PQR,…) and support the PM when needed.
- Train and support the partners and staff project team on the implementattion and use of the tools developed under the project.
- Collect data regarding project implementation and make sure to have the results of the recommendations implemented by partners.
Responsibility 2: Contribute to the development of methodologies and tools for the project and to their implementation
Aim: The technical framework for implementing project activities is in place and regularly updated
Activities:
- Contribute to the identification of the tools needed for implementing the project activities and to their development.
- Participate to lessons learnt analysis and tools adjustment.
- Implement activities directly as per the framework validated by PM/TA Inclusion.
- Mobilize authorities and external stakeholders for facilitating project implementation and inform them regularly about the progress made and the challenges faced.
- Liaise with logistics and finance department as per the procedures in place to undertake purchase & expenditures as required for activities implementation.
Responsibility 3: Contribute to project lessons learnt and promotion at national & international level
Aim: Good practices under the project are identified and documented
Activities:
- Collect data as per the framework defined within the project.
- Identify and analyse the project’s good practice.
- Participate to the organization of “finding workshop”.
Responsibility 4: Capacity building of partners and staff to improve services delivery mechanisms
Aim: Ensure capacity building plan are established and run on a timely manner
Benchmarks: Capacity assessment implemented and report produced, capacity building plan produced for each service, information and training packages for HI partners rolled out in due time, implementation monitored, ability to identify and develop capacity building framework with national technical resources
Activities:
- In close collaboration with the TA Inclusion and under the supervision of the PM, contribute to the development capacity assessment tools and lead their implementation.
- Based on capacity assessment result, contribute to the development of adapted capacity building plan
- With support from TA Inclusion, identify technical resources required for the implementation of the plan and support their mobilization in close coordination with the project manager and support service team.
- Under the technical support from TA inclusion, contribute to the development of training plan , training materials and deliver training in the areas of expertise and organize all capacity bulding sessions planned under the project,
- Set up coaching and mentoring mechanism and accompany its enforcement.
- Monitor the evolution of professional practices in the field of expertise and document changes.
- Produce training and coaching reports and share feedbacks for srengthening continuous staff and organisation development
Note that this job description must remain flexible; to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- University degree in social work, phsycology and any other field related to the inclusion
- Minimum 2 years of experience in field activities and in the field of disability rights.
- Information Management skills (Data analysis, Mastering Excel, Familiar with mobile data collection tools and plateforms (such as KoBo toolbox, surveyCTO,…))
- Fluent in Arabic and English (writing and speaking)
- Skills and proven experience in developing training and providing coaching for capacity building
- Ability to develop information material
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work with partners, civil society organizations
- Knowledge of referrals mechanisms
- Ability to respect deadline and work under pressure
- Very positive personality, with strong orientation towards solutions
- Adaptability, flexibility
- Autonomy in work
- Excellent communication skills, Proactive, solution maker, strongly positive, constructive and dynamic.

Basic salary range for the position : The Project officer is going to be paid according to the experience and to HI salary Grid.
Basic Salary range between LBP 2.363.622 and LBP 2.736.188
