OBJECTIVE:
The Mental Health Coordinator plan, organize and supervise the mental health strategy implemented by Caritas Lebanon Health department, which includes but is not limited to, strategic thinking, administrative supervision and coordination, clinical supervision and coordination, guidance and team support (staff care and capacity building)
DUTIES:
- Participate in the proposal writing (design, development, implementation, evaluation) of all mental health projects
- Elaborate a clear comprehensive strategy to merge all mental health components in a holistic health approach lead by the Health department
- Elaborate a clear staff-care policy for the health department, then promote team building activities, staff-care activities and good morals
- Review documentation, rules and programs relevant to the mental health field of work
- Develop guidelines and SOPs for the mental health activities
- Plan, organize and supervise the work of the mental health teams through centralized and/or decentralized meetings, and field visits
- Advocate and work for the improvement of safe and efficient work environments
- Participate in the development of all mental health prevention and awareness modules
- Work with other relevant departments in advocating for and coordinating the activities of the mental health professional
- Represent the Health department in working groups
- Evaluate the effectiveness of policies, procedures and technical implementation of sessions/activities provided by the mental health professionals through a comprehensive and user-friendly set of M&E tools
- Report to the Health department for any indication relevant to employee discipline
- Bridge the gap between upper management and mental health professionals
- Advocate for staff when necessary

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
- 7 to 10 years’ relevant experience
- 3 years of organizational experience
- Experience with NGO is a plus
