Design Coach

SHiFT is a social innovation hub leading the transformation of post-conflict and/or marginalised zones towards peaceful and prosperous communities. It brings people together and bridges differences through building capacities, raising awareness, creating opportunities, promoting success models and mentoring. SHiFT was founded in 2015 by four local Tripoli residents and activists, after the Lebanese army implemented a security plan in the area to end the rounds of violent clashes. Since then SHiFT has grown into a vibrant community center and business incubator, working for social transformation in the area. Through its programs, SHiFT provides various activities such as business development support to nano, micro and small businesses as well as business incubation, labs, training, coaching and mentoring and job placement services.

We are currently looking for a professional and a creative coach to be part of our mobile market -project. In this project local designers from North Lebanon will sell their products on a mobile market. This designer’s group will be undergoing a coaching cycle to be fully ready to perform and exhibit their products. Hence we are looking for a coach who can both support the participants with product design and business skills. Further, the coach will need to create a curriculum that is in relevance to the project’s needs.

The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience and knowledge about the new and modern products in the market. He/she must be a highly motivated individual with experience and passion for sharing knowledge. It’s very crucial that the group of designers receive the training on a professional level.

Responsibilities:

• To teach and support the team in their specified sector.
• Get familiar with the project to be prepared to plan the content accordingly.
• It is crucial that as a result of the coaching, the participants are well informed about the market and how they should act within such events.
• You must keep in mind that several beneficiaries need support in product creativity and upgrade.
• You should be taking into consideration the team's capabilities, available materials and logistics when planning the curriculum
• You must keep in mind that the result of this coaching is a well-informed participant with a clear andunique product that is unique in the market.

Qualifications:

• Strong Experience in Business coaching
• Strong facilitation and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skill
• Experience in Product design.
• Excellent social and personal relationships.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent English and Arabic technical words knowledge.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in similar specialization such as business coaching or
• products coaching.
• Experience and ability to deal with unexpected challenges.
• Wide vision about effective work in each sector.
• Possession of a degree in a relevant field.
• Have a high comfort level with social media platforms such as: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube,etc.
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills.
