SHiFT is a social innovation hub leading the transformation of post-conflict and/or marginalized zones towards peaceful and prosperous communities. It brings people together and bridges differences through building capacities, raising awareness, creating opportunities, promoting success models and mentoring. SHiFT was founded in 2015 by four local Tripoli residents and activists, after the Lebanese army implemented a security plan in the area to end the rounds of violent clashes. Since then SHiFT has grown into a vibrant community center and business incubator, working for social transformation in the area. Through its programs, SHiFT provides various activities such as business development support to nano, micro and small businesses as well as business incubation, labs, training, coaching and mentoring and job placement services.
SHiFT is currently looking for a Sound, Editing and Recording trainer for a 2-day training at SHiFT Social Innovation Hub.
Job description/responsibilities
- Your work aim is to teach and support the team in recording and editing sound skills through Adobe audition software
- When planning the training the trainer is expected
- To get familiar with the projects that the team is preparing in order to plan the content accordingly
- To get familiar with the action plan and planned trainings, to create your vision about the expected results and goal of the project
- To coordinate the follow up with our mentor
- Take into consideration the team's capabilities, available materials and logistics.
- It’s highly preferred that the training is interactive and has practical side
- The training will be for 2 full days (October 2019)
Who we look for
We are looking for a professional and creative trainer in the media and communication fields for our media team. You will be facilitating “the sound” training to a group of 20 individuals for full 2 days including providing support for the team to develop good skills in the different methods of recording and editing sounds through adobe audition. The aim of the training is to improve the process of content making of content that is posted on our platform on social media.
The trainer will focus on developing and conducting a training for the participants to better understand the features of Adobe audition (recording, editing tools and audio effects). The training should focus on the basic features of audition, giving the trainees principal knowledge and strategies to record and edit indoor, outdoor and overall video sounds.
As a facilitator, you will be surrounded by academic participants, from different cultural backgrounds, who have good media experience. We expect that you are familiar with the essence of the content and are able to make the training interactive and to have a practical side.
The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience and knowledge of the strengths of the new media platforms. He/she must be a highly motivated individual with experience and passion for content making and marketing. It’s very crucial that the team receives skills training on a professional level,
Requirements
Qualifications
- Certifications and experience in multimedia and visual communication
- Strong facilitation and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skill
- Conflict Sensitivity Training is an Asset
- Experience in conducting trainings
- Excellent social and personal relationships
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent English technical words knowledge
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in similar specialization
- Experience and ability to deal with unexpected challenges
- Wide vision about the effective work on social media.
- Possession of a degree in a relevant field.
- Have a high comfort level with social media platforms such as: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills
Languages
Fluent in English and Arabic
