Outreach Worker – Chouf Area (volunteer)

In order to address marginalize and vulnerable youth, AVSI and CESVI program “Vocational Training Program for Youth- Phase 2” will continue to implement a holistic approach providing support through Non-Formal-Education, Vocational Training and Life Skills to youth between 15 and 24 years old. Moreover, the program will address as much as possible youth with disabilities. Empowered youth will enhance their skills and knowledge to act as agents of change and contribute positively to the development of their community, reducing social tensions in the society.
Activities under this project include providing TVET and life skills training and paid apprenticeship programs.
The volunteer will be assigned the following tasks:
- Outreach for potential beneficiaries in the Chouf area
- Meeting with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the outreach process
- Coordinating with the beneficiaries, stakeholders and Cesvi on info sessions dates and times
- Attend the info sessions Cesvi will organize
- Collect the lists of interested and eligible beneficiaries from the outreach activities and during info sessions and share with Cesvi team
- Administer filling entrance application forms, pretests and post tests
- Awareness raising sessions on Green Electricity and energy saving models
Requirements
Knowledge/Experience
Volunteer must have a good knowledge of or familiarity with the data collection tools, including:
- Application Forms
- ODK/ONA
- Pre/ post-tests
In addition, the volunteer must be skilled in the use of Spreadsheets, Word processing, calendar, e-mail and data entry. He/she should also be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to establish positive relationships with people at all levels; to show sensitivity and integrity.
