Key activities
Objective 1: Response to Emergency and Acute Unmet Needs (40%)

Ensure the delivery of identified services and programming under the different response modalities (Emergency and Acute Unmet Needs) to the highest quality and standard

Conduct multi-sectoral needs assessment to identify needs and plan for a multi-sectoral integrated response;

Ensure Action Against Hunger WASH/Shelter response is aligned with technical humanitarian standards and coordinated with other departments and organizations
4
Apply a protection lens throughout the process in order to detect protection needs and refer to the appropriate actor (either within ACF or external referral)
5
Provide daily oversight of response modality service delivery directly at the field level, ensuring correct compliance with means of verification and reporting
6
Communicate and coordinate with communities, municipality focal points, and other relevant field level actors on the daily implementation of tasks.

Work with other Action Against Hunger team members to provide accurate and timely assistance to identified participants in the programme
Objective 2: Field Monitoring and Reporting of Emergency / Protection Response (40%)
1
Following the weekly and monthly planning for the programme team, report back accurately on field level activities to the Emergency Response Manager

Identify and report possible problems, conflicts, or contextual changes to the Emergency Response Manager, proposing solutions where possible and pertinent

Monitor the evolving context and flag any potential protection concerns to the ERM and the LPC Focal point
4
Monitor and track all field activities and deliveries, ensuring compliance and control is provided.

Conduct data collection regarding the project and the potential beneficiaries.
6
Alongside the MEAL department, facilitate regular monitoring and evaluation activities for the field activities.
Objective 3: Support the WASH department (20 %)

Support in the assesment carring out in the WaSH Project
Objective 4: Security
1
Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, see to it that the team under his/her responsibility complies with the security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols.

Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan
Objective 5: Support humanitarian activities of Action Against Hunger

Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the employee’s abilities.

Support any activity that helps reaching our humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s abilities.

Candidate description
Training/ Education:
Technical Diploma engineering or related field, bachelor’s degree in social sciences, humanitarian action or related field
Technical specific knowledge:
For WASH: knowledge in water supply and sanitation supply systems. Technical training in Implementation of basic water networks
For Shelter: experience in emergency shelter assistance and site improvement
Ability to manage multiple tasks covering different objectives simultaneously to a high quality
Knowledge of direct community work with vulnerable or at risk communities
Experience in protection mainstreaming in field activities
Previous experience:
Two years’ experience working in a related field of expertise.
Experience in the humanitarian sector in a similar position
Personal requirements:
Ability to work in a team
Ability to manage stress effectively
Ability to manage time and priorities well
Clear communicator with excellent inter-personal skills
Ability to work with a degree of autonomy on set tasks
Languages:
Fluent Arabic, Fluency in written and spoken English
IT and specific systems:
Windows domain, Compulsory expertise in Excel, use of ODK
Mobility (national/ international)
Based in Tyre with travel to the base and Beirut
Remuneration package
We offer immediate incorporation to a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package:
- Salary: from 1,257 USD to 1,566 USD gross per month according to candidate’s previous experience (according to standard list of Action Against Hunger - Spain).
- Action Against Hunger - Spain remuneration system allows a salary progression based on the annual development appraisal.
- LBP 8,000 daily transportation allowance on working days
- Social security registration and NSSF family allowance if eligible
- Complementary health insurance for you and your dependents

- Life insurance (after 3 months of contract)
- School allowance for your children if eligible as per the official decree
