الوصف: 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide PSS and educational awareness sessions to the project beneficiaries.
2. Conduct case management to the extremely vulnerable beneficiaries based on the project selection criteria.
3. Conduct need assessment and participate in the designation of project proposal and concept notes.
4. Supervise the “Orphans sponsorship program, livelihood program and the Social Work projects” and ensure that the activities implementation are always on track.
5. Represent the SA in the coordination meetings, relations with partners and beneficiaries.

Programs:

  1. Conduct projects need assessments.
  2. Responsible of the daily management for the project activities in coordination with the program staff under his/her responsibility.
  3. Draft concept notes and project proposals for the sectors he/she is responsible of, in line with the identified needs and funding opportunities in coordination with the programs team.
  4. Provide psychosocial and life skills awareness sessions.
  5. Adheres to all of the MOPH requirements for the Primary health Care centers.
  6. Supports the MOPH’s vision and the projects in the development, the promotion of the Primary Health Care in Lebanon.
  7. Provide case management activities and home visits to the project’s targeted beneficiaries.
  8. Ensures a prompt and timely response to beneficiaries determined and identified at ‘high risk’ or ‘urgent action’ through project activities.
  9. Ensure that the beneficiaries’ participation is of high level and all the decisions taken are based on the best interest of the beneficiaries.
  10. Links the beneficiaries and the community/ies to the resources and networks of assistance.
  11. Maintains the protection files to a high standard, complete with up-to-date information.
  12. Maintains weekly updates for case management data base.
  13. Identify, facilitate, coordinate and when necessary deliver training to programs staff under his/her supervision and to varies stakeholders.
  14. Providing necessary support to the Programs Officer in arranging: meeting, training or workshops.
  15. Willing and able to conduct field visits and travel frequently for extended periods to remote areas of the projects or when directed by the Executive director.

 

Reporting

  1. Produce projects final and interim reports and ensure that it meets the donors and the SA requirements. 
  2. Maintain regular written and oral reporting with the PO.
  3. Regularly report to the PO about any difficulty met during the activities implementation.
  4. Submitting weekly and monthly reports to the PO on the projects achievements.
  5. Reports any breaches of neutrality, even if not true, to the PO with a clear analysis and investigation of the breach.
  6. Prepare and share coordination meeting minutes/MoM and staff meeting MoM with the PO and the staff under his/her supervisor.
  7. Adhere and respect deadlines of submitting project proposals and reports based on the agreed deadlines with the PO.
  8. Ensure that archiving system is in place with the coordination of all projects team who should maintain a complete and accurate soft and hard copies for each project.

 

Staff management:

  1. The Social worker is the direct line manager for the social worker assistants, Orphans assistants.
  2. Organize and implement weekly team meetings with the project staff.
  3. The SW is responsible to implement project review meetings for the projects he/she is responsible of.

 

Operations:

  1. Coordinate with HR, admin, finance and logistic departments to ensure that the need support are delivered on time.
  2. Follow SA and donors policies and procedures all the time.
  3. Ensure that the communication between the projects team and the operations team is following the SA organogram hierarchy.
  4. Ensure that all projects team, respect and follow the SA policies and procedures.
  5. Ensure regular and punctual follow up of the project’s budget expenditure and forecasts.
  6. Ensure that media coverage are done for all the projects activities based on the media policy and procedures.

 

Security

  1. Follow and respect the security policy, guides and instructions.
  2. Report any security event or incident to the Executive Director on any incident following the security policy guidelines, even if not true.

 

Communication

  1. The SW works directly in the field with stakeholders and partners in the project locations he/she is allocated to.
  2. Attend sectors Working Groups and other internal and external meetings as required and when needed in coordination with the PO, and ensure that the SA are represented in the main and relevant working groups.
  3. Ensure that the resource mapping are updated on monthly basis.
  4. Maintain professional relationships with all staff, stakeholders and donors.

 

 

SA policies:

  1. Adherence to all of the SA policies and procedures.
  2. Report any breach of the policies to the Executive Director
     
     

Education, knowledge, Experience and Competences:

  1. University degree: Social work, psychology or other relevant fields. 
  2. 2 to 5 years of experience in social work, case management, .
  3. Very good writing skills in English and Arabic.
  4. Good team management and problem solving skills.
  5. Good communication and negotiation skills.
  6. Strong leadership skills
  7. Strong inter-personal skills
  8. The Social worker is expected to spend 70% of his/her time in the field.
