Communication and visibility officer
Requirements:

University degree in Communication or other related fields;
-
At least 3 years of relevant experience;

Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory;
-
Strong track record in developing communication strategies and awareness campaigns;
-
Experience in producing communication products in a variety of formats and languages;
-
Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working with a range of stakeholders from NGOs, Donor, and communities;
-
Experience creating graphics and editing photos in Adobe Photoshop, and some familiarity with other graphic software (e.g.: either Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign or others);

Experience in development of behavior change strategies;
-
Experience with social media promotion;
-
Able to think creatively and have an eye for innovative graphic opportunities;
-
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit.

CISP has been entitled by the European Union for the implementation of part the project “A more sustainable safe drinking water supply for vulnerable communities living in a more protected environment”
ref. code: TF-MADAD/2018/T04.100,
The project is implemented in collaboration with SLWE, and Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment (BMLWE).
4 partners Organisations (CISP, Action Against Hunger, CARE and ACTED) work as a Consortium, led by CISP, for the implementation of this project.
The consortium seeks to recruit a communication and visibility officer to assist the implementation of the project communication strategy.
A series of communication tools has already been developed during previous projects implemented by the partners of the Consortium and different organisations.
Under the direction of the Programme Coordinator and in close collaboration with the other members of the consortium, the communication and visibility officer will assist in developing the most effective communication tools to be used so to effectively influence the behaviour of the target communities.
The objective is to standardise the most effective communication tools among partners, water establishments and organisations in order to become part of future communication strategy.
The communication strategy will aim for the following:
- raise the awareness among the target communities and the municipalities about the project and the benefits of water conservation, environmental protection and water legal framework;
- promote sustainable and efficient water use among the project areas;
- Abide to the general rules for Communication and Visibility Manual for European Union external actions as explained in the project proposal.
Duties:
- Plan and coordinate the communication activities of the project;
- Assessment of communication approaches/materials already used or developed by concerned Water Establishments (SLWE and BMLWE) within similar project;
- Assessment of the communication strategies developed by other consortiums and by the EU;
- Develop a communication strategy/plan for the consortium;
- Define a monitoring plan and methodology to assess the communication plan progress and its effectiveness;
- Design and develop of the communication tools and materials agreed upon by the consortium. These items can include brochures, Animated Info graphic video, Poster and Flyers, Newsletter and Website, etc.
- Develop visibility products for the project which can include banners, roll ups, invitations etc…
- Work closely with the technical and MEAL teams to organize periodic learning and reflection events
- Report to the project coordinator.
