Summary:
The translator supports Dawlaty’s team by providing translation from English to Arabic and vice versa to various documents, The consultant will have a long-term agreement with Dawlaty to deliver translated documents within agreed deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Translate all documents, reports, sheets...etc sent to them by Dawlaty within the requested deadline, from English to Arabic and vice versa.
- Proofread documents in English and in Arabic as per Dawlaty’s team’s request.
Deliverables:
- Provide a monthly invoice for the amount of the previous month’s translation fees.
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years experience in translation
- Bachelor degree (or its equivalent) in translation (Arabic and English languages) or a similar field
- Knowledge of and experience working in the Syrian context strongly preferred
- Knowledge of gender, human rights, civil society, civic and democratic values, and civil disobedience terms and lexicon is strongly preferred
- Basic knowledge of French is an extra
