United Nations - World Food Programme - Calls

The United Nations World Food Programme hereinafter referred to as the “WFP”, with its Headquarters located in Via C.G. Viola, 68/70, 00148 Rome, Italy is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies, and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience by assisting almost 100 million people in around 83 countries each year. About 17,000 people work for the organization, most of them in remote areas, directly serving the hungry poor.

The World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.
In emergencies, we get food to where it is needed, saving the lives of victims of war, civil conflict and natural disasters. After the cause of an emergency has passed, we use food to help communities rebuild their shattered lives.

WFP, UNHCR and UNICEF (hereinafter referred to collectively as the “Agencies” and individually as an “Agency”) are humanitarian and/or development actors currently providing assistance to vulnerable populations in Lebanon.

برنامج الأغذية العالمي(WFP)هو أكبر برنامج إنساني ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة الأولى التي تعنى بمحاربة الجوع في كافة أنحاء العالم.كل عام، يقوم البرنامج الذي يتواجد في 81 دولة بتقديم الغذاء لأكثر من 90 مليون شخص من خلال الأغذية العينية و/ أو التحويلات النقدية لتلبية الاحتياجات الغذائية للسكان المتضررين. في لبنان، يقدم البرنامج المساعدات الغذائية للبنانيين واللاجئين السوريين الأكثر حاجة من خلال البطاقات الإلكترونية . يبحث برنامج الأغذية العالمي في لبنان عن متاجر للتعاقد معها حيث يمكن للمستفيدين استخدام البطاقات الخاصة بهم لشراء الغذاء فيها و ذلك في كافة المحافظات اللبنانية
