Translation Intern

We seek a Translator fluent in Arabic, English and French for the entire month of March 2016. This will be an opportunity to gain practical experience in your field while also expanding your horizons within the NGO sector. 
Duties and Responsibilities:

Translate content from one language to another (such as English to Arabic and vice versa) for use in our flyers, program leaflets and presentations.
Proofread, edit, and accurately revise previously translated materials.
Plan, organize and independently carry out workload priorities to ensure smooth and timely coordination and production. 

Required Skills:

Demonstrated fluency in Arabic, English and French is a must.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Lebanese culture, sayings and expressions.
Familiarity with medical terms is a plus, but not required.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and able to work quickly with others or individually to meet deadlines.
Proficient in Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
Friendly demeanor and a team player.

While this internship is not a paid one, the hours are flexible since much of the work can be done from home and we’ll only need you to come in to the office a few hours each week. You will receive a recommendation letter demonstrating your role and contributions during the internship.
