NOT WHO WE ARE - نحنا مو هيك
This feature-length documentary by Carol Mansour in cooperation with Heinrich Boell Foundation focuses on the plight of refugee women from Syria who have fled Syria to Lebanon over the past two and a half years. Through the stories of 5 admirable and courageous women (Afra'a, Umm Omar, Umm Raed, Samar, and Siham) we are led through the "refugee experience" as it affects women. They open up and share with us their experience of displacement and loss, in the process revealing their strengths and resilience in the face of daily struggles to survive in an often harsh and unfriendly environment.
