Mouvement Social’s involvement in the education of underprivileged children started with simple homework support in the 1960s, when a group of our Volunteers (16-18 years old), students themselves in top-notch schools, started dedicating their after-class time to help younger pupils from nearby public schools in doing their homework.
Little did these teen volunteers know that this activity was to become a major element of Mouvement Social’s commitment to insure the deserved attention and care to every human, especially the neediest, and the youngest.

الأهداف العامة:
Access to education is a main component in the personal development of every individual. Unfortunately, a significant number of young boys and girls in struggling communities in Lebanon are not pursuing proper education. Some are brought out of school and forced to start working at a very young age, while others are denied schooling access due to disabilities, or for being refugees or displaced. Mouvement Social has conceived special programs for each of these cases, providing school retention support services, and even extending the work to the children’s families when needed.
