BACKGROUND and JUSTIFICATION :  

MOSAIC is a holistic program committed to improve the health and wellness of Marginalized group in Lebanon and beyond. Through its national presence in Lebanon and its regional networks in the MENA region, MOSAIC strategic goal is to achieve the coexistence of people in friendly communities and national systems. Founded by activists and legal and health experts, MOSAIC will provide comprehensive services for the Marginalized groups, research and advocate for policy reform, build knowledge and capacities on SOGI (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity/Role) issues, and engage the societies in the fight against human rights violations, especially against LGBTIQ rights violations.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Under the overall supervision of MOSAIC’s Director and Program Manager, the finance officer will perform a wide range of complex professional accounting duties in the analysis, preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Communications Officer will be responsible of the following:

• Managing the projects’ budget
• Prepare balance sheets
• Process invoices and manage records and receipts
• Assist the Program manager with quotations, bids analysis, justifications, request for payments, etc.
• Update internal systems with financial data
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports when required
• Reconcile bank statements
• Participate in financial audits
• Track bank deposits and payments
• Assist with budget preparation
• Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
• Supporting the Program Manager and MOSAIC director with projects and tasks when required

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or any other related fields.

2. At least 2 years’ experience in the domain.

• Ability to manage/administer a finance unit, ability to rationalize work, delegate tasks, apply advanced systems to simplify work and negotiate systems improvements, propose solutions to make best use of staff and financial resources
• Ability to prepare and administer budgets, manage finance sector

• Ability to work under highly stressful conditions
• Ability to work with computers
