DESCRIPTION: 

BACKGROUND and JUSTIFICATION :  

MOSAIC is a holistic program committed to improve the health and wellness of Marginalized group in Lebanon and beyond. Through its national presence in Lebanon and its regional networks in the MENA region, MOSAIC strategic goal is to achieve the coexistence of people in friendly communities and national systems. Founded by activists and legal and health experts, MOSAIC will provide comprehensive services for the Marginalized groups, research and advocate for policy reform, build knowledge and capacities on SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity/Role and sex characteristics) issues, and engage the societies in the fight against human rights violations, especially against LGBTIQ rights violations.

 

SCOPE OF WORK:

Under the overall supervision of MOSAIC’s director, the program manager is responsible for delivering program’s goals and objectives, specified and agreed in the projects.

The appointed Program Manager will oversee and execute the following roles:

Strategic Leadership:
Collaborate with MOSAIC’s director to provide technical guidance related to project design, development, and planning.
Design, implement, and supervise the overall project strategy, ensuring it aligns with MOSAIC's vision and mission.
Program Management:
Oversee the effective implementation of MOSAIC's projects, upholding quality standards.
Ensure the delivery of case management, legal aid, and counseling services for LBTQ individuals, making certain project objectives and outcomes are met promptly and efficiently.
Team Management:
Provide training, guidance, and support to staff, promoting safety, security, and best practices.
Conduct and document regular team meetings for streamlined planning and reporting.
Oversee staff schedules, including maintaining records of vacation and sick leaves.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary contact for all communications, liaising with donors, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with organizations such as UN Women and the UN LGBTIQ Task Force, ensuring the integration of LGBTIQ individuals into humanitarian efforts.
Capacity Development:
Lead the capacity-building program, focusing on training case managers, social workers, and program managers from diverse organizations.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
Organize and facilitate monitoring field visits.
Implement monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, guaranteeing the quality and impact of the project's interventions.
Oversee the project progress and facilitation of evaluation missions.
Reporting & Documentation:
Coordinate and distribute activities and schedules to staff.
Prepare monthly progress reports, along with other reports as requested by donors or MOSAIC's director.
Advocacy:
Champion systemic changes, advocating for policies and practices that decrease discrimination and elevate the welfare of LBTQ individuals in Lebanon.
Financial Oversight:
Collaborate with the Financial Team in managing and optimizing project budgets.
Continuous Learning:
Attend workshops and trainings as necessary, promoting personal growth and ensuring the project's success.
Miscellaneous Tasks:
Undertake any other responsibilities as delegated by MOSAIC’s director.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor or Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Public Health, Social Work or other related studies.

At least 5 years’ experience in project management.

 

SKILLS:

 

  1. Proven excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  2. Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
  3. Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.
  4. Excellent problem solving skills.
  5. Good interpersonal skills including good coordination and effective working relations with stakeholders.
  6. Ability to lead teams and mentor staff.
  7. Experience with SGBV survivors and good knowledge in GBV concepts.
  8. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently.
  9. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  10. Proficiency in written and spoken English.

While engaging in a MOSAIC project, all participants are mandated to sign and adhere to MOSAIC’s Code of Conduct and associated policies. This ensures a consistent and ethical approach throughout the project's duration, reflecting MOSAIC's commitment to professionalism and integrity.
