USAID/Lebanon is a lead donor in education, water, and essential services and champions good governance and economic opportunity for low-income Lebanese citizens. The purpose of this Monitoring and Evaluation Program for Lebanon (MEPL) is to supplement the monitoring and program management efforts of USAID/Lebanon staff; and to verify, monitor and support USAID program performance in Lebanon over the course of five years.

The purpose of this Monitoring and Evaluation Program for Lebanon (MEPL) is to supplement the monitoring and program management efforts of USAID/Lebanon staff; and to verify, monitor and support USAID program performance in Lebanon over the course of five years.

MSI will conduct a literacy and numeracy baseline assessment for the QITAB 2 project. The baseline will be carried out in around 270 schools throughout Lebanon and will target students in Grades 2, 3 and 6. 

MSI will contract Quality Control Officers (QCOs) to oversee and ensure the quality of the data collection during this baseline. Prior to data collection, the QCO will provide ongoing support to organize and facilitate the training of assessors, in addition to coordinating data collection plans.

Information gathered and program support services through this project will assist the USAID/Lebanon mission to make versed conclusions.

The Development Outreach and Communication Specialist will support USAID and project staff in the development and production of information products and events. This will include working closely with USAID’s Development Outreach Communications Office (DOC) within the Mission. The Communications Specialist will work full-time at MSI’s Beirut field office. The position is expected to begin on/around November 2021. This position will be part of a larger team supporting evaluation and analysis on the reach and effectiveness of USAID-supported development programs.
