The LHDF aims at facilitating the improvement, rationalization and optimization of the response to humanitarian and development needs in Lebanon particularly through:
• Identifying strategic issues;
• Advocating for common positions with a unified and consistent voice to influence policy and decision making;
• Sharing information;
• Engaging and Representing the Forum with external stakeholders;
• Empowering its members to reinforce their role, as local NGOs, in Lebanon;
• Sharing best practices of LNGOs’ interventions in Lebanon.

Security and Safety Management Training for NGOs

As part of its coordination, advocacy, capacity strengthening and information sharing efforts towards localization, LHDF aims at delivering to its members a training workshop on Safety and Security.
Accordingly, LHDF is currently seeking to contract a trainer to deliver two-days Workshop on Safety & Security management for NGOs which will be held before the end of November 2022.

Shabake - Localisation Framework - Capacity Strengthening Survey

In coordination with USAID Lebanon Civic Action Accelerator
Program (LEB-CAAP), a Coordination Committee with LHDF & LLL, supported by the Localization Task Force members,
is developing the process to develop the Capacity Strengthening component of
a Localization Framework.

This call aims at sharing a survey to inform this component.

The Forum is an independent entity composed of 85 local NGOs operating in Lebanon. The objective is to facilitate the coordination between local NGOs and other relevant stakeholders to have an efficient response to the humanitarian and development needs in the country. The coordination role of LHDF entails building consensus among relevant local and national NGOs in Lebanon and actively facilitating cooperation among them, with public entities, donors, international community, and persons of concern.

LHDF - PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) Officer

The Lebanon Humanitarian and Development NGOs Forum (LHDF) is offering a SHORT TERM and FULL -TIME employment opportunity (consultancy basis) to support the PSEA compliance efforts of the forum through the capacity building of LHDF members, in line with global UN and IASC policies and best practices.

The LHDF is an independent entity composed of 75+ local NGOs operating in Lebanon. The object is to facilitate the coordination between them and other relevant stakeholders to have an efficient response to the humanitarian and development needs in the country.
