I. Background:
The Government of Lebanon has received a loan from the World Bank to implement the Wheat Supply Emergency Response Project (the Project), which aims to ensure the availability of wheat in Lebanon, in response to the global commodity market disruptions, and to maintain access to affordable bread by poor and vulnerable households. This project will be administered by the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade (MoET) with the procurement of approximately 250,000 metric tons of wheat.
