General Purpose of the Position

The Country Accounting Officer collaborates with the Country Finance Officer and the Assistant Country Finance Officer to carry out daily accounting tasks. In addition, they oversee and provide technical support to the project accountants.

The School Principal is responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school.

Under the supervision of the Country Inclusion Officer and Project Directors, the Field Special Educator is responsible for promoting inclusive education in the JRS projects in Bar Elias and Baalbek. His/her role consists of supporting the education teams in identifying students with disabilities, and in designing and implementing innovative pedagogical strategies that aim at strengthening their inclusion in their educational environment.

The Country MHPSS Officer will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychosocial services, (e.g., Individual interventions, Child and Adult Counselling, Case Management, Psychosocial Group Work facilitation and Focused PSS Interventions) to children and adults who access JRS services.

JRS began working in the MENA region in July 2008, responding to the needs of Iraqi refugees. Today JRS accompanies, serves, and advocates on behalf of refugees, internally displaced persons, returnees, and vulnerable host community members in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. JRS programmes in the region deliver multisectoral interventions including home visits, emergency assistance, child and adult education, mental health and psychosocial support, social services, protection, health care, livelihoods, community building and advocacy programmes.

The procurement & logistics officer provides the project with the required supplies and materials in order to ensure that they are available in accordance with the action plan developed in the Project Proposal and ensures the smooth running of the daily operations at the centers.

At the heart of our efforts is our engagement with marginalised and displaced communities, especially with vulnerable adults and children. These groups are particularly at risk of sexual exploitation and abuse, and other forms of gender-based violence. JRS’s commitment to the protection from sexual exploitation and abuse and sexual harassment (PSEAH) of all JRS beneficiaries by JRS personnel. JRS has zero tolerance towards all forms of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and sexual Harassment and takes seriously all concerns and complaints about SEAH by JRS personnel.
