Most Lebanese & Syrian in Lebanon face barriers to accessing employment and are offered few skills-building opportunities as an alternative. These youths need a safe learning space that will equip them with tools to tackle these challenges and eventually earn income, thereby helping them to rebuild their self-confidence.

The Education Officer, part of the Makani project, will be responsible for the delivery and monitoring of quality education services in the assigned locations of community centers and informal settlements with technical oversight and support of partner activities and implementation in Akkar. He/She will work closely with the Field Education Manager, and Monitoring and Evaluation team. The position will be under the supervision of the Field Education Manager.

The classroom observers under Dirasa in partnership with UNICEF will be responsible for the moni-toring of teaching modalities inside the classrooms in the assigned schools. They will be trained by world learning and responsible of completing assessment forms. Classroom observers will ulti-mately report back to IRC Education Officers on identified issues.
