HCI - Lebanon is looking for a responsible Project Coordinator to administer and organize all types of projects, from simple activities to more complex plans.
The Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with our Executive Director and the management at HCI to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. You will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries; additionally you’ll be required to spend some time in the field to ensure the smooth implementation of projects’ activities and for monitoring purposes. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. You’ll also be required to have the spirit of initiative and self-motivation as well as the dedication to work in the humanitarian sector.
Ultimately, the Project Coordinator’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.
Responsibilities:
-Coordinate project management activities including schedules, resources, equipment and information
-Help prepare projects’ budgets
-Write projects proposals
-Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
-Liaise with clients (NGOs; GOs; direct beneficiaries; and private sector) to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
-Ensure that beneficiaries’ needs and donors requirements are met as the project evolves
-Break projects into doable actions and set time frames
-Analyze risks and opportunities in the projects’ environment
-Oversee project procurement management
-Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
-Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all involved and to management
-Work closely with the Management to eliminate blockers
-Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
-Issue all appropriate legal paperwork related to projects (e.g. contracts and agreements)
-Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting field visits and other means
Requirements:
-Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
-Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
-An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
-Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
-Strong client/ beneficiaries -facing and teamwork skills
-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office programs
-BSc in Business Administration or related field
-Ability to conduct field trips as frequently as needed (for assessment, follow up and monitoring purposes.)
-Ability to speak and write in English and Arabic
