Play: Return To Haifa - عائد الى حيفا

The play Return to Haifa, a dramatization of Ghassan Kanafani’s novella, opens at Babel Theatre, Beirut – Lebanon, on Thusday, June 6th, 2013. The play tells the story of a young Palestinian couple forced to leave their city, Haifa, on April 21st, 1948, leaving their infant son behind. Twenty years later, right after the 1967 war, the Palestinian couple return to visit their home in Haifa to discover that an Israeli woman of Polish origin is living there along with her son.

تفتتح مسرحية عائد الى حيفا المقتبسة عن رواية غسان كنفاني يوم الخميس 6 حزيران 2013 على مسرح بابل في بيروت - لبنان. تروي المسرحية قصة زوجين فلسطينيين أجبرا على مغادرة مدينتهم حيفا في 21 نيسان من عام 1948 تاركين ورائهم ابنهما الرضيع. وبعد عشرين عاما، ومباشرة بعد حرب 1967 قاموا بزيارة منزلهم في حيفا ليجدوا ان امرأة إسرائيلية من أصل بولندي تحتله برفقة ابنها.
