The National Lifeline General Manager is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive operations and activities of the National Lifeline, a critical resource in supporting the mental health needs of the Lebanese community. Working in collaboration with the National Mental Health Program, the Lifeline National Manager will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality services, sustainability, and growth of the Lifeline as a crucial national tool for responding to mental health crises.

The main role of the National Lifeline Operations Manager is to perform all Lifeline operational and administrative tasks and to ensure smooth and efficient running and sustainability of the operations of the National Lifeline.
The Operations Manager’s duties include providing support to the Lifeline General Manager, and managing daily office needs and general administrative activities.

The consultant trainer will deliver a 3 day training for the National Lifeline for Emotional Support and Suicide Prevention Hotline in Lebanon (1564) targeted towards building the capacity of volunteers operating the National Lifeline. The consultant trainer responsibilities inclue enhancing, developing and delivering quarterly trainings on the topics of active listening, suicide risk assessment and de-escalation of suicide risk using the Lifeline model.

The field facilitator is a team member of the Mobile Mental Health Clinic, a traveling clinic that provides free psychiatric consultations to residents in various regions of Lebanese governorates. The field facilitator plays a crucial role by serving as the connecting point between the mobile clinic's beneficiaries and the mental health professionals during their field visits. This role encompasses field tasks such as managing admission intake processes and scheduling appointments, among other responsibilities

The Case Worker plays a pivotal role in the Mobile Mental Health Clinic service operated by Embrace, providing essential support to patients by ensuring seamless coordination of care and facilitating access to mental health services. This position involves closely following up with beneficiaries, managing their appointments, and providing ongoing support through post-psychiatric consultation follow-up calls. The primary objective is to ensure the continuity of care, enhance patient experience, and facilitate a smooth transition to the Primary Health Care Center (PHCC) for further follow-up.

The main role of the Research Manager is to lead the development of research projects leveraging secondary data collected through Embrace activities to general high-impact academic publications and inform national policy.

Background

WHO has developed an e-mental health intervention for use in low and middle income countries. The intervention called ‘Step-by-Step’ (SbS) comprises of a self-help smartphone applications and weekly calls from a trained helper who motivates and supports use. It has been evaluated in randomized controlled trials (RCT) in Lebanon. Following positive results from research, WHO will support implementation of the SbS intervention as a nationwide service by the National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in Lebanon. The clinical psychologist is responsible to develop relevant content for creating a workshop on mental health tailored to parents and caregivers (teachers, frontlines). Eligible candidates are licensed clinical psychologists with a background in providing support to children and parents.

The psychiatric nurse will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary mobile team to intervene during emergency mental health crisis through a 24/7 mobile unit.
