Among CLDH’s beneficiaries, five survivors of human rights violations will be selected to participate in the lobbying and policy reform activities which include roundtable discussions and lobbying meetings. As a preparation phase and to strengthen their capacities, these selected survivors will participate in a series of trainings provided by CLDH team, including this training on safe dialogue and public speaking to participate in the roundtable discussions and meetings with stakeholders.
The Trainer Consultant will prepare material and tools, deliver training sessions, evaluate the outcomes

The consultant will develop a toolkit related on community leaders, team leaders, community mobilization, resource mobilization, security measures within the Lebanese queer contexts. The toolkit will be created in an interactive approach where a 2-day workshop will be held with the CoA members. This toolkit aims to provide the LGBTQI+ individuals and SOGIE rights organizations and key actors with the knowledge and tools required to advocate for LGBTQI+ rights and well-being, and building strong community networks, while understanding the safety & security principles.

Under Free to Be Me program and in an attempt to advance LGBTQ+ rights, through media channels, a workshop will be delivered to 2 media influencers and 10 CoA members. The outcome of the workshop is to identify the best outreach tools, approaches, and opportunities that the influencers will be using to advocate for LGBTQI+ rights through different media channels.

This program is designed to train a group of key informants who will subsequently recognize, detect, and report cases of Violation of Human Rights.

The Video Producer directly reports to the Communications and Advocacy Officer.
The Consultancy Agreement is intended for the production of videos within the deliverables of different projects CLDH is working on. Further collaborations may be considered based on the availability of funds and a performance evaluation.
The Video Producer is supposed to work in cooperation with the CLDH’s Communications Department, researchers, Programs team and the other relevant team members.

Description of the Yoga Sessions:
As part of the wellbeing activities of Free To Be Me project and due to the downturn effects of the current situation in Lebanon, yoga sessions will be provided to the CoA members and aim to provide healthy ways to cope with stress. The Yoga instructor will provide 10 yoga sessions to the CoA members. The sessions move from theory to practice, with emphasis on understanding the essence of Yoga and stress coping mechanisms.

The self-defense trainer will deliver a 10-session module to a maximum capacity of 10 COA members where they will acquire higher knowledge and skills on proper and better self-defense methods from a theoretical perspective to a practical one. The training will be of use in the long term where trainees will be able to assess on the spot safety risks and react accordingly. The trainer will also be responsible for instructing a well-tailored curriculum that adheres to international standards, which can be used as reference material by the CoA members and beyond. The total number of participants will be up to 20 members of the COA. The sessions, delivered by the instructor, will be conducted from the date of recruitment till the end of December 2023. The instructor is expected to draft and share the mindfulness sessions agenda with broad bullet points prior to the start of the sessions for review by relevant personnel at CLDH and a final report after conducting the training. The working period, including preparation, delivery and final report summary of the workshop to be delivered by end of December 2023.

The training will be delivered over 3 days throughout the last week of September 2023 (TBD) for a group of 10 individuals, 1 member/ focal point per grassroot organizations/ initiatives. The training material will be provided by CLDH where the consultant/trainer will use to deliver the training. The consultant is expected to draft a pre and post-test survey that will be submitted to the relevant personnel at CLDH along with a final report after conducting the training. The working period, including preparation, training delivery and final report of the training, is estimated to be 5 days.

The Project Strategist will be responsible for the advocacy aspects of the project, collaborating with CLDH’s Communications Department, researchers, and other relevant team members.
