Asmae is an officially recognized independent, and secular non-profit organization. It was created in 1980 by Sister Emmanuelle to protect and educate the most vulnerable children around the world. Operating in 5 countries other than Lebanon (Egypt, Philippines, Madagascar, Burkina Faso, and France), Asmae aims to support the local actors who strive to promote the autonomy of the most vulnerable children of all nationalities (Palestinians, Syrians, etc..) through education and protection in Lebanon.

General background:

Asmae is a French international solidarity NGO specializing in child development. It is independent, non-religious, non-political, and open to everyone. Created in 1980 by Sister Emmanuelle following her experience with garbage collectors in Egypt’s slums, Asmae keeps on respecting its founder’s values and methods: listening and proximity, pragmatism, respect for differences, professionalism, and reciprocity.

Since the capacity development of the local partners is an essential component of our work, in order to foster the localization concept, ensure sustainability, and empower the local community to achieve quality implementation goals, Asmae aims to develop the capacity of its partners through different training, consultancies, coaching and other types of support.
The fundraising and proposal writing training is one of the training series that Asmae will provide to its partners as per their needs, taking into consideration the importance of reporting in the humanitarian sector.

The position will be based in Lebanon and will be supervised by the senior admin and finance officer.

Vulnerable youth often have limited access and awareness of safe and decent employment opportunities which can further hinder their ability to set long-term goals and meet their psychosocial and economic needs. To better support young people to identify and access these opportunities, Asmae and NRDC aim to provide additional guidance and support by conducting a gender-sensitive and disability-inclusive labor market assessment (LMA) as part of the project implemented by Asmae in partnership with NRDC.

The reporting management system training is one of the training series that Asmae will provide to its partners as per their needs, taking into consideration the importance of reporting in the humanitarian sector.

The consultant/ consultancy is requested to develop the next strategy Strategic Plan 2023 - 2025 through an inclusive and participatory process. The consultant/ consultancy will work under the direct guidance of the Asmae and Nabaa management teams. The consultant/ consultancy is expected to include Nabaa staff members, and other relevant stakeholders as identified and agreed upon in the inception stage.

The primary objective of this study is to have a clear assessment about the early childhood services provided in Tyre region, by identifying the services provider of such services (Nurseries, KGs and CSOs), assessing their conditions, qualities and needs. The assessment should lead to the identification of 10 nurseries and pre-primary schools and 3 CSOs willing to get involved in the project.

MEL officer will be responsible for working closely with Asmae programs staff, partner NGO staff to develop and implement best-practice monitoring and evaluation tools and assessments. This will include training field staff on best practice approaches to data collection, including ensuring the confidentiality and rights of beneficiaries are respected.

The MEL officer will support the analysis of results and help develop products to disseminate the findings of surveys and assessments, including drafting assessment reports.
