The project addresses food security issues by providing immediate support to vulnerable households through food parcel distribution and income generation and enhances the agriculture sector to guarantee sustainability, all in the context of protecting the environment, and adapting to climate change. Over a period of Twelve months, the project will:

Under the direct supervision of the project coordinator, the selected expert / Institution is expected to develop an awareness plan aimed at local stakeholders in Mount Hermon and increase the general public’s knowledge of the Mount Hermon Natural Reserve’s purpose, mission and ecosystem features.

Project: Implementing community-based food security while enhancing the agricultural sector, protecting the environment, and adapting to climate change in Lebanon (IFEEL)

The project is funded by The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in partnership with Al-Shouf Cedars Association.

The service to be performed by the supplier is within the scope of the ‘Distribution of Food Parcels” and shall be performed in close cooperation with IFEEL team. The composition of the food parcels that will be distributed by Al-Shouf Cedar Association will cover most (60%) of the energy/caloric needs for a family of 5 individuals for one month and will contain a variety of items within each food group (carbs, proteins and fat) providing the macro and micronutrients.

Under the direct supervision of the project coordinator, the selected consultant is expected to design rigorous, regular, and consistent monitoring and evaluation schemes for key biodiversity indicators.

AI-Shouf Cedar Society, in the framework of the project "Resiland: Resilienza ai cambiamenti climatici attraverso azioni di pianificazione, formazione e gestione integrata del territorio - AID CODE 012590/06/4", funded by the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation (AICS), intends to award a framework contract for the supply of seeds, seedlings, and aromatic plants within the Shouf Region, South Lebanon, and West Beqaa.

The geographical scope of the service

The supplier should be able to transfer money within Aley, Zahle, West Beqaa and Shouf areas in close proximity to the below villages:
Shouf villages: Ain Zhalta, Barouk, Batloun, Maasser, Khreibeh, Mrusti, Jbaa, Niha, Baadarane), Brih, Ain Wzein, Kahlounieh, Mazraet el Chouf, Haret Jandal, Ain Qani, Ammatour, Moukhtara, Jdeideh, Warhanieh
Aley: Bmohray, Ain Dara, Mreijat , Sawfar, Badghan, Charoun, Azzounieh, Aghmid, Ramlieh, Mechkiti, Mecherfeh
West Bekaa: Kefraya, Ain Zebdeh, Kherbet Qanafar, Aitanit, Saghbine, Bab Mareh, Machghara, Qaraoun lake

Al-Shouf Cedar Society, in the framework of the project "Resiland: Resilienza ai cambiamenti climatici attraverso azioni di pianificazione, formazione e gestione integrata del territorio ", funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), intends to award a framework contract for the supply of fuel and lubricants within the Shouf Region and West Beqaa.

Within the framework of the Swedish Postcode Foundation and EU-funded project ”Saving Water Growing Crops”, we are currently looking for a company that can assess and rehabilitate the existing solar system in the Municipality of Mrusti, within the Shouf Biosphere Reserve, to fully run the pumping station.
