Akkar Network for Development-AND, registered as a Lebanese Non Governmental Organization, envisions itself as an expression of a unified vision of the region, and a common perspective of the civil society's role as an agent of change in Akkar. AND aims to look into the region's needs and work with civil society, local authorities and Akkar community at large, not only to implement projects, but to ensure the creation of a development policy for Akkar.

Akkar Network for Development (AND) has been working in Akkar for the last 13 years with women, youth and local authorities to promote the well-being of the community. In addition to other interventions in the area, AND has included a protection component aiming to reduce violence against women and children. The organization is adopting an integrated approach of GBV and SRH to provide persons of concerns with a comprehensive support plan. This will improve the quality of the services provided by AND while working on a long-term durable solution.

Akkar Network for Development (AND) has been working in Akkar for the last 12 years with women, youth and local authorities to promote the well-being of the community. In addition to other interventions in the area, AND currently manages a dual portfolio of relief and development activities in Akkar with projects ranging from social stability, protection, education, and governance initiatives aiming to improve the daily lives of women and children, along with youth empowerment, CP, GBV, Education and good governance.

Case Worker

Akkar Network for Development (AND) has been working in Akkar for more than 12 years with women, youth and local authorities to promote the well-being of the community. In addition to other interventions in the area AND is currently working on child protection, especially in the most deprived areas of Akkar (in partnership with War Child Holland and Plan International), by providing education support, extra-curricular activities, and psychosocial interventions.
