“The Concepts Of Srhr, Child Marriage And Working With Adolescents”

ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality in partnership with UNICEF is planning to conduct Two (2) days trainings on “The Concepts of SRHR, Child Marriage and Working with Adolescents”. The training aims to introduce the participants to conceptual information around sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) including key messages on puberty and menstruation, personal hygiene, and self-protection from sexual abuse, in addition to  the interlinkages between child marriage and GBV against girls and provide them with interactive tools and exercises to catalyze discussions on the topic with adolescent girls and their families.
The training will encompass the following:
- Key physical and psychological changes occurring at/during puberty
- Introduction to the intersection between child marriage and GBV against girls
- How to use the video animations produced by ABAAD and UNICEF; “While I am growing up …” & “Marriage is not a game!” as educational tools with affected communities
- Learn and practice the use of several interactive tools aimed at facilitating discussions with girls and their families on SRHR & child marriage
A series of trainings will be conducted targeting frontline service providers from GBV, CP and health sectors .
 Applicants MUST fulfill the following requirements:

At least 1 year experience working with adolescent girls and their families; preference will be given to individuals working with refugee communities
 Must be working in Lebanon and is committed to attend ALL training hours

The trainings targeting GBV & CP sectors will be held on:
- South:  Tuesday 10 November and Wednesday 11 November at Hotel Platinum- Tyr
The training hours will be from 9AM until 4PM.
